Ally Mack

Chair of the Thurso Camera Club Alistair MacKechnie – Ally Mack – joined the Legends of Caithness project to take photos of local characters nominated by the community as legendary. Ally’s striking shots depict our local legends in their own environments and we were thrilled to exhibit this work in the Legends of Caithness exhibition. Who do you recognise?

Alistair MacKechnie has been living in Wick for the last 10-11 years and is the chairman of the Thurso Camera Club. Always looking to explore new styles, Ally’s flexible approach to photography spans a range of styles, from night photography, landscapes and light painting to portraits and he effortlessly embraced the project requirements.
