I have been sewing for many years, all kinds of items from Caithness Capes to soft furnishings and have recently focussed on my range of small figures. I create needle felted figures from wool and scottish tweed and handsewn Hemp Hessian figures based on traditional life in Caithness. I maintain a sustainable element using local products, ‘found items’ and sustainable fabrics. I was part of last year’s ‘Legends of Caithness Exhibition’ and am delighted to have been chosen to exhibit my work at this years ‘Industrial Caithness’ Exhibition.
