am thrilled to have been selected as a part of Rising Artists of Caithness and incredibly grateful for this opportunity, I want to extend my deepest thanks to the team. I’m excited about what the future holds and can’t wait to push new experimental boundaries and explore my creative horizons. As I work towards achieving a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing and Art History, I think a workshop and
mentoring programme like this will be tremendously beneficial and personally motivating.

Since moving to Caithness in 2019 from Oxfordshire in England, my practice has been focused on creative writing in forms of non-fiction such as poetry, life writing and nature writing. I have drawn inspiration from nature, spirituality, myths, and ancient history, so I can’t think of a better location than the Highlands of Scotland to inform my practice. Before this, I had experience with mediums such as drawing, painting, photography, and dance. I look forward to learning new skills, expanding my imagination, and meeting artists. I intended to post updates regularly on my Facebook page.

Overall, this experience will be grounded in the potential to foster creative development, enhance skill acquisition, and promote growth. I see this programme as facilitating technical proficiency, nurturing artistic vision, building a sense of community, and contributing to both personal and professional growth. Offering a structured and supportive environment enables the cultivation of a vibrant and dynamic artistic ecosystem, of which I am proud to be a part.
