Lindsey Gallacher

I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2000 with BA 1st class honours in Jewellery and Silversmithing. I have worked as a jeweller since then but enjoy creating art in tandem with Jewellery. Scratchboard is a medium I have worked in for 7 years and competed in Sky Portrait Artist of the Year in 2019.

I am looking forward to creating a new work of art for ‘Legends of Caithness’ with Doupy Dan as the subject matter. After creating an artwork of him 2019 I am still taken aback by the amount of stories and love for this man every time someone comes into the studio and sees the print for the first time, so will be incorporating the stories I’ve heard, into this new large piece of work.
